Pasted in the wrong years. Corrected. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Day late but.....December 17, 1903 the Wright brothers helped give birth to world of aviation 120 years ago.

There is some controversy about the telegram.

it still freaks me out that my grandparents were toddlers when this first flight happened and were retirement age when we landed on the moon. What a lifespan.

Yeah, pretty amazing to think we went from first flight to landing on the Moon in such a short period of time.

Yeah, pretty amazing to think we went from first flight to landing on the Moon in such a short period of time.

And people born when the last crew lifted off from the moon in 1972 will be at retirement age before another human lands there.

That is just sad.

Mrs. Buzz's birthday is December 17th; so we call her Orville.
She was a flight attendant for >43+ years, too, so she's well connected to air travel.

I think the period between say... 1910 and 1950 is huge.

From barely nothing, double the speed of sound in 40 years.

and da fricken MOON - actually going to a place not on this planet less than 20 years later - it boggles the mind...

That was quite the deconstruction. But I got to the end and realized, it makes no difference. They were still the first. I'm guessing Dad lost the original telegram, and typed up an imperfect duplicate.
