I lean towards FB scam.
That's that seems like a really good deal if real.
B&H has the non-Pro M2 16/512 for $999.
Costco wants $1150 for a new M2 Pro config, and I don't know how much better that is over an M1.
Did any M1 mini-types here want to upgrade to an M2 mini?
A quick DuckDuck search doesn't show any NOS M1s around so used or open box might be the best you can do.
So unless the M1 won't fun Fortnight, that M1 looks like a really good deal, if real.
If you get taken, what does FB do for you, in the way of recourse?
IF it is real and you take the deal, consider an NnP before doing anything else.

I asked her how much for just the mini and she said this:
"The computer retails for $1299 plus tax, it is a really great machine. Only about 6 months old. Would you want the keyboard and mouse too? I would say probably about $900. If it was a year or older I would be more willing to drop toward $800, but I really can’t at this time."
EDIT 1: then they said this
"How does $900 sound to you? I could maybe do $850 since I have had offers for $825 to $850 but would have to ship it. Thoughts on those price ranges?"
EDIT 2: They live about an hour and a half away from me and said they would take 800 for just the mini if I came and picked it up. What do you think? I need advice.

Oh yeah - I keep forgetting that the lower end only had 2 ports.
Was there an upper end of the M1 mini that had more ports?

WoW isn’t the primary reason I need a new Mac, but it’s up there. I do graphic design, sound design, video editing, and then your basic email, web browsing, etc. Plus I am thinking of opening an Etsy store for my digital art.

I also have a friend in town who is selling her 2020 M1 Mini for $500 but it only has 8GB RAM. It’s got 512GB SSD.

In reality, I don't have the money....I am on a fixed income (SSDI). I drive for Lyft/Uber/UberEats as a side gig (I live in a college town, so they pay poorly when no students are in town. In fact, they pay poorly in general). Sadly, it looks like I won't be able to get a Mac...sucks...anyone want to lend me $800? ugh.............
