Hello everybody, happy new year!

Anyone knows if the bundle can be bought by anyone?
Any differences between license agreements?
Seems like a ryf deal…

From what I understand, the licensing agreement with EDU software typically says that they have the right to bill you full freight if they find out you're not eligible.

Also, you're not allowed to use the products commercially.

I've been burned too many times with a cool Apple app that they decide to do end of life on and it's all over but the crying.

So the license agreement from this general support page is the same as the one linked on the bundle, so I guess it’s the same.

you're not allowed to use the products commercially

This is what I’d be concerned, but it doesn’t seem to differ from regular licenses, can’t rent the software, etc.
Samples come with right to use after transformation, never as a sound or loop library. Fairly standard.

Not right now, but I think I’m going for it. I’ll post if something comes up.

Thanks everybody!

yeah, I no longer trust Apple with software. They either don't end up supporting it or update it to the point of being non-useable.

Probably little actual risk of running into issues with buying/using it this way. The licensing restrictions give the option to refuse to sell it to you (or revoke the license later) if they think you may not qualify. If you come anywhere close to qualifying (have a kid or grandkid in college? spouse that works for a college? do you have an .edu email address?), Apple likely would have no issue with you buying it. The licensing restrictions just give them a legal way to revoke the license if they ever decide to enforce it. But, how, realistically, could they enforce something like this? What is the scenario where that actually comes into play?

At any rate, yes, that is a good deal. If you're so inclined, go for it.

This seems like a pretty standard deal for the Ed package. But it's a good deal nonetheless if you are into editing - kind of high learning curve if you're just getting started though.

Thanks for the information. I find logic a bargain at 200, mainstage too. I haven’t needed them, but I’ve thought I’d get them when/if…
But getting the video suite too for the same price, gives urgency to the deal.
We’ll see. I hope I don’t forget about it haha…
