Did I just get inadvertently sucked into old time TV watching?

I'm always so far behind in everything, I figured I'd be fine. So I started watching Star Trek: Strange New Worlds a week or so ago thinking it was a long way away from catching up. Well, I just reached the end of season 2 only to be greeted with To Be Continued. What the hell? I should have seen it coming when there was so much left to wrap up and only three minutes left. I've become so spoiled for binge watching, i just figured I'd click Next Episode.

AAAAARRRRGHHH!!!

There are several current or recent series that ended on a cliffhanger, and To Be Continued is just another variation.

A couple of series I've like were cancelled with a lot of loose ends hanging.

That's disappointment on disappointment.

Ah, yes. the English language. I guess I should have clarified. Old-time (TV) watching versus Old time TV (watching).

We have very happily been diving into The Rockford Files since it's been in twice-a-night reruns on "GetTV" the last few months. Even if we're not going to watch the full episode we try to catch the opening answering machine message and theme music.

James Garner was pretty close to the epitome of cool.
