Need some help: Keychain password and Safari question
Posted by: JoeM

OS 10.4.9 and Safari 2.0.4. I'm at work trying to connect to the net through ethernet connection / fractional T1. Every time I launch Safari I am being asked for a Keychain password: "Safari Wants to Use Keychain Login".

I have never created a keychain login password. Reading the help file, it mentions if you haven't created one, to use your admin password but when I use it I get an invalid password message. Keychain Accessibility utility shows nothing useful.

This doesn't happen on my home machine. Looks like I can surf ok but certain pages won't load (my Yahoo mail login page, Quark store https validation page - @%#$@%) and after a few minutes I get a Safari page that's telling me I'm not connected to the net.

Can anybody tell me how to get rid of this and straighten out my web browsing?

TIA
