Pre-noon, I did my usual listen to the Beatles
But left the radio on to listen to some QUALITY country music on 90.1 KSYM.
Made some lunch.
Did some cleaning.
Turned on the TV, watched some Star Trek on PlutoTV, but it was all first season TNG....oof.
Went to the other Star Trek channel... DS9 Season 1...double oof...
Channel surfing, found an Indiana Jones marathon on ACTION! channel.
Sunny in the 60s after a light freeze Friday-Saturday
Mowed the front yard...heavy wet winter grass, almost too much for my electric mower.
Decided to have a little fire. Collected some fallen branches from the pile, pulled a couple of 6 month old logs from the curing container (an old barrel BBQ that probably gets up to 150F in the summer sun.
Watched some more Indiana Jones as it got dark....
Made some sandwiches from leftover pulled pork and put some jalapeño poppers in the air fryer.
Sun goes down, temps drop to the 50s.
Wrap some old bacon fat in paper towels (3 1 tablespoon scoops) Place them in the spots around the fire pit. Grab my Bluetooth speaker, start some music, light the fire and pop open a Shiner Bock!
Wife joined me, we enjoyed what might be the last cold-ish night of the winter
EDIT: laughed when we remembered that 3 years ago today, Texas was frozen, we had just gotten our power back! And I raised one up for those Texans who did not make it thru the freeze!
