So every batter comes to the plate with two balls showing.

Traditionally, those shirts were 100% cotton.

When did they ditch cotton?

Regardless, very thin cheap nylon on the order of a $12 jogger from Target is not what I would call a "premium" material. You can easily see it bunching like there's an abundance of neoprene in the mix and the seams are messed up.

With retail on those shirts ranging from $130-$200 bucks, I expect better.

That’s quite a cheeky response.

This has been the case for at least twenty years and isn't limited to Lululemon's products.

Mr. Lahey: Why don't you get a life Rick? Why don't ya go to community college like Julian here. Hey, I got a good idea. You could teach, livin' in a car and growin' dope 101.

Ricky: Hehe. And you can teach how to get drunk, get fired from the police force, become a... lousy trailer park supervisor that sucks, hangs around with a @#$%&' idiot that doesn't wear a shirt, and looks like a dick but thinks he looks good... 101.

They ditched cotton back in the 70s for polyester double-knits.

Seinfeld did an entire episode about the NY Yankees switching from polyester to cotton uniforms. It was hilarious!

At least baserunners now have a clearer view as to what they could be potentially running into.

I can't find a definitive original source any more. The earliest link (2008) with any attribution implies an outtake from a live action show at one of the parks.

What kind of action are we talking about?

Saint Cloud, Minnesota, where the weather is wonderful even when it isn't.

The parts of the boat you can see appear to be 1/4 scale or less to an actual ship, plus it is quite weathered and some parts are obviously made of plywood. For a while in the 80s and 90s there was a trend of building kid-scale replicas of pirate ships at public playgrounds, such as the ones that were at DeSoto Caverns in Childersburg and at Daffin Park in Savannah. My guess is this photo was taken on one of those pirate ships and has been misattributed to Disney.
