I am currently typing on a MacBook Pro Mid 2012 Model 9,2 using Opencore Legacy Patcher 1.3.0. Upgraded it from Catalina to Ventura.

Do you want to go to Sonoma? or Stop a little earlier?

Watch Mr MacIntosh Videos. He is great and really knows his stuff.

You can get rid of the EFI bootloader screen at startup, if you set it in settings in OCLP.

Enjoy, its a great highly supported app.

Using Turbotax and Quicken which now request that you have something Higher than Catalina

Worked great for me on an earlier Mac. Then I upgraded OCLP one day and it broke - wouldn't boot. Didn't fix.
