once every six months or so, depends. if I keep my drives fairly empty (at least 25% empty) then less often.

Seldom.

Sometimes when I've booted from a backup volume, I'll run it on my startup drive just for the hell of it.

As often as I bathe--once a year whether I need it or not. (I need to comply with Kentucky laws.)

Until I go blind, or grow hair on my palms.

What was the question?

Every three months, or when things "seem" a bit flakey--print jobs disappearing, etc.

Only as needed. Once.

Now I can't see.

I used to DW once a month, now it's more like once every three months.

once a month or so, or if dictated by performance glitches. I first Rep Perm, then boot in Safe mode (hold Shift key during boot) to have Disk Repair performed. If that doesn't do the whole job, then I boot from backup drive and run DW.

I think I will just put an OUT OF ORDER
sticker on my head and call it a day.
