While hallucinating last night I wondered if this is not unintended. This stuff is sneaking into people food sooner than later. I love conspiracy theories.

The FDA is currently investigating whether Chinese distributors have, in fact, been poisoning human foods the same way.

Testing for melamine, similar chemicals and derivatives has not been done on a large scale. It seems likely that this has been going on for several years, that it extends to all sorts of protein-supplemented foods and that Americans have, in fact, been poisoned en masse.

This is very cynical, I know... The question on my mind is whether the FDA would tell us if they found that this was an ongoing problem with food made for human consumption.

Is trade with China (which owns a good chunk of our national debt) more important than the deaths of a few thousand children and old people and a few thousand extra cases of cancer every year?
