emailing an AVI

My new digicam has the ability to shoot movies, so I tried it the other night and got a nice two-minute clip of my niece playing cello in a school concert. But the AVI is 123 MB, so I'm not sure how to send it to her mother. We both have broadband, but I can't send an email larger than 10 MB.

This thread likely has more sites than you want to look at if you want to upload the file to a sharing site.

You can also upload it to YouTube but other people will be able to view it unless you do something to limit access.

You might want to look at compression/conversion utilities if you are going to do this more often. A 2 minute file really should not be over 40 MB.

I often upload snippets of home movies to PhotoBucket and then send the link to whoever I wish.

iChat or AIM -- you can send any size file through those
