Anyone make it through season one of "Dark Matter?" Date: June 25, 2024 01:14PM |
Kind of out of TV shows. Enjoyed Silo, Severance. I've got a season of ST
iscovery sitting here but can't get motivated, has gone down the tubes so badly in terms of story quality/integrity.
I see Dark Matter is up to episode 8, thought I saw it was renewed... The first episode held my interest, the fake bizarro Chicago didn't bother me too much, struggling with the second episode. Anyone stuck with it through Ep 8?

I have watched all of them so far.
I hope the finale episode tomorrow is decent.
Not much on right now.
I just finished The Last Thing He Told Me on ATV and it was interesting enough to hold my attention

Did not like the book at all.
It was all "magic the magic magic" hand-waving.
No "science" in it. Could have run the story past a few scientists to put a patina on it, but instead the author chose to make a bad fantasy novel with a few "sciency" phrases thrown in.

Haven't watched Dark Matter but have started watching Sugar which, to me, is a pretty slick production.

I enjoyed Sugar a lot, but would have liked it more had it not made a turn at Episode 6.
There were hints that I thought it was me, but it wasn't.
Colin gave a really good noir vibe, that pulled me right in.

I agree that this was definitely soft science fiction, no technical explanations, but a couple concepts which I thought were particularly intriguing - to avoid spoilers I'll only allude to exploring the infinite - that other tales of a similar vein hadn't really addressed or even introduced.
