Dpreview has the Nikon Z6 III image quality comparison chart up

From my quick eyeballing at higher ISO such as 6400, 12800, 25600, the Nikon Z6 II and Canon R6 seem to have the edge on fine detail retention on the currency. I also seem to inout the Sony A9 and it holds up decently for an older camera. The lower ISO settings should be nice for people that don't tend to shoot in the 100-3200 range.

What's the point for those high ISO's when a camera has IBIS?

That's a very good question. Ibis can stop the camera shake for non moving subjects but the shutter speed needs to be fast enough to freeze motion. People that take pics of sports in a high school gym or field lighting would need the higher ISO. If one is taking pics of birds or wildlife in action that needs to be frozen, one may resort to higher ISO. It depends on the lighting conditions and what lens you have.

For instance, I can shoot a night time football game with kid sprinting after catching a football. The background will not be moving but my subject will be blurry is I shoot at 1/30th of a second at at ISO 200 and F5.6.
Now I go higher in the ISO range, I can add shutter speed.
ISO 400 = 1/125
ISO 800 = 1/250
ISO 1600 = 1/500
ISO 3200 = 1/1000
ISO 6400 = 1/2000
Stopping most sports action is somewhere north of 1/500 of a second. I try not to go below 1/1000 if I can help it.

Many high school gyms and fields have dim and abysmal lighting. Most college and pro arena have much better lighting but if you don't pay extra for the hefty big aperture lenses such as the ones in the F 2.8 range, you still need to add more ISO sensitivity to stop action adequately.

This chart gives a general representation of what I was writing about.

But can I make wall sized prints from these files?

I've made huge posters with older Nikons. Billboards even.

24mp is plenty of resolution to make large prints. If you need more MP, used Z8 are in the $3000-$3200 range. The Z8 is 45mp. If you don't need the most high end AF capabilities, used Z7 and Z7 II have higher resolution as well at a lower price.

If you are still using SLR, the D850 prices are dropping like a rock. The D800/D810 are even cheaper and are 36mp.

Where can I find a used Z8 for $300? smiley-excited001

Anyway, for better or worst, I'm addicted to high-res cameras, but I want it to be compact for travel. I initially placed a pre-order for the Canon R5MII, but can't imagine what lens I would use with it for wildlife. So, a "cheap" used Z8 for $3k is starting to look more attractive (especially since hopes for a better performing Z7MIII are dimming to almost total darkness). Or, I might just become resigned to traveling with my sizable Z9 and treat myself to the smallish Z600mm pf. Camera

Truly first-world problems.

Broken ones.
