Wow, drum riser backwards and wobbly. And mic not on! Sheesh. It'a always the sound guy... (sorry, couldn't pass that one up). facepalm

"Saw" them I believe in 66 at Dodger Stadium. Couldn't actually seem them really. Too far away. They looked about ant size. Couldn't really hear them either due to all the screaming.

I saw Ringo's All Stars a couple years ago. Good show. Ringo was kicking it solid. Dude can play funk with the best of them. He looked great for 80.

That was great. Thanks! Seeing Lennon doing his flopping around made me think of Lewisohn's book Tune In in which he mentions how that was a thing of Lennon's a lot on stage. I forget the term he used, but he was effectively making fun of the disabled. Not an admirable trait, but we keep forgetting these were still pretty young kids at the time.

In an attempt to face four sides of the stage they had some poor middle aged half bald shlump race out between sets to reorient Ringo's drum set - not sure why but that and the back of more cop heads than I'd really want to see stuck out.

hey, them is 2 high quality WE633 mics from 1937. And I think a lovely placement of what maybe an Altec mic from the same error of to ringos left at around 20:00.
The cateyeglass frames on all the girls.
The rotating drum riser takes the cake.
Today, not even a D level band would take that.
No speaker columns to be seen. I wonder where they were.
Great band they was.

The Beatles tribute bands do it now too.

Also you can tell John is without his glasses and can only see a few feet in front of his face clearly.

ClipGrab'd before it disappears!

"I don’t want to see religious bigotry in any form. It would disturb me if there was a wedding between the religious fundamentalists and the political right. The hard right has no interest in religion except to manipulate it." - Billy Graham 1981

"Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can't and won't compromise" - Barry Goldwater
