I bought a bunch of 10tb versions of that and shucked them for my DAS. B/c of course external drives are cheaper than internal drives.

Depending on the tax rate of your delivery point, there is B&H's Payboo, a 'tax free' price option if you qualify for their store card.

Buy something on the card and the price includes an instant rebate of the state sales tax of one's given shipping address.

I don't know if this works for you, but I'll be ordering one in a few.

The prices compete with AMZ often and apparently at the moment, though there are some oddities as some sizes might be just $20 more than the next smaller size.

Or like their 14T and 16T both being $256.

Saving the tax, at 10.75%, helps take a tiny bit of sting out of the price.

That 20TB drive is $30 more at Amazon and $40 more at B&H. I guess it really was on sale!

I really need to stop coming here. I wasn't in the market for a new hard drive, but I rationalized the purchase by thinking about the number of photos I could consolidate on one drive. And, using the my "Payboo" account, I was able to save another $20 in taxes, so why not?
