Just saw in the news (coming up on the today shows in the next 1/2 hour) that a user Rollercoaster ride caused his insurance rates to sky rocket.

I hate these apps.

My agent told me to avoid the app and monitoring devices completely. He said those devices are looking to ding you not save you.

I thought this involved an app named Rollercoaster that did something for your insurance rates. Not an unreasonable thought since there tends to be an app for everything these days. This is not the case and was my misunderstanding of the OP.

It turns out it's the app service offered by insurance companies that tracks your driving habits with the theoretical goal of saving you bucks on insurance. This one involved Geico.

in my parts there is a road we dubbed "rollercoaster road" as its undulations are pretty darn close to that. I wonder if my phone is using the gyro inside to send data when I take a whirl down this road.
