MS is just a take no prisoners disease. It ravages people in so many ways. It jumped all over Teri, but she fought and fought. rip to a great, fun, talented woman.

Didn't know she had MS - no wonder it's been so long since I've seen her. One of the great comedy actors of all time. And actors always say comedy is much harder than it looks.

Always, always, ALWAYS liked her! So many great roles. Young Frankenstein is one of my all time favorites.

Frederick: "What knockers!"

Inga: "Oh, thank you, Doctor."

She was so young when she was in Star Trek TOS.

R.I.P.

My all time favorite. Naturally imbued with charm and personality, overendowed with charisma and wit. Everyone's loss, my loss.

RIP Teri you were the best.

She was such a bright, smart woman.

She was a frequent guest on Letterman, though as I recall, she wasn't crazy about the shower bit.

But always funny, no pretensions.

This is sad news.

I knew about her having MS, and hoped there'd never be tabloid pics exploiting that.

I don't know there are any, it's just that so many tabloids like doing that.

The latter role is what I'll always remember her for, though I did love her in YF.

I had a close-to-close encounter with Teri Garr in the 1980s.

I was in Conran's picking up props for a photo shoot when I saw her on the other side of the store.

We made eye contact, and she gave me a look that said, "Please don't."

So, I didn't.

I had a close-to-close encounter with Teri Garr in the 1980s.

First recall her as Dreyfus' harried wife in Close Encounters
Then I realized she was that super cute secretary in Star Trek TOS!

I once got that look from Eric Clapton, but it was more like, "Oh God, please don't."

I didn't either.

It was the last episode of the 2nd season - Assignment: Earth - [en.wikipedia.org]. It was meant as a backdoor pilot for a series, but wasn't picked up by the network. She would have been 23 when it was filmed.

I was always particularly fond of that episode. Not just because it had Terri Garr, but because I'm a total sucker for time travel shows.
