But they are both going to be there tonight for game 5. They are season ticket holders. They are Yankee fans- now legends. But they missed the next 8 innings and watching the Yankees actually win. Personally, I would ban them from the stadium. They could have hurt Betts.

Those guys need to be arrested and barred from any MLB stadium for the rest of their lives. They didn't make an innocent and impulsive play for the ball, they committed a crime.

The odds of any criminal prosecution occurring are slim to none.
Now if Mook had dropped to the ground a la World Cup style, that might have got some traction.
Personally, I think a lifetime ban from the stadium, with immediate effect should have taken place.
Game 5 would be without them.
Oh, and stalking them and inflicting a serious beatdown.
Something to mitigate their bragging rights.

The MLB Players association got involved and they weren't allowed to return to Game 5. It is still undecided if they will get to keep their season tickets next year.

I'm somewhat heartened by this.
Wresting their season tickets like then wrested Mook's catch would be something to smile about.
Practically speaking, I doubt they'll get any more than that, if they get that much.
I might rethink the stalking and beatdown thing, but it would be a lifetime ban on the stadium and season ticket holding.
