Pulled the pin and bought the Civic

Yes, it's smaller on the outside than the ML430, but it's almost the same on the inside. Not to mention 30 mpg and NO maintence.
I'm looking at saving about $2000 in gas and another $5000 in maintence. The Benz was like having another child. I won't really miss it.

You won't be sorry; as mentioned I have one (and an Odyssey) and it's a fun little car.

Plus (and I think it's universal to the line) there's a 1/8 input for your iPod.

I was happy in MOST ways when I got rid of my M-B. I miss the dealership washing/vacuuming it, though. But, my car has been problem free for 100k. Good luck.

So does this mean that you're a very civic-minded person?

"In science it often happens that scientists say, 'You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken,' and then they would actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion." (1987) -- Carl Sagan

He got rid of the old-style MB Truck/SUV, the ML430, which has(d) a 4.3L engine underhood, a very thirsty little monkey!

I owned its little brother, the 6-cylinder ML320, and loved it (for its time....back in 2001-2002) very much. It was white with the full grey leather interior, chrome alloys, looked like $1mil all day, every day, and it averaged about 17MPG, which is great for a Benz. Believe it or not, I traded it on a Lexus 300IS Sport Cross, a beauty in Pearl White/Black leather, which got killed in a terrible traffic accident (I didn't luckily) when it had only 2100 miles on it, just 6 months old...and after that, which is the reason for this tale...yup...went out and paid CA$h Mo$ey for a 2003 Civic EX with everything possible option wise and it was a W O N D E R F U L vehicle! Black/black cloth/all options...it was a very very hot ride. Averaged something like 27MPG overall, which in 2003 was darn wunnerful...like over 30 on the freeway....took it up to Lake Tahoe, Reno, SF Bay Area 3 or 4 times, and with 14K miles on it I sold it for only $1000 less than I paid for it to my insurance agent! Then bought 2004 White Honda CRX EX/Black cloth/all options...you get my drift...once you Honda, it's hard to stop with Honda!

You're gonna love your new Civic EX/Navigation a whole, whole lot. Especially the Honda Navigation...it's really the best there is. Voice Command too I'll betcha. Coool!

Did you pay sticker price for that little sucker? Betcha did if it's a good color:-)

Congrats on the new Civic. I was filling up my Scion xA this morning and it kind made me
grin that it still only cost $26 to fill up, the fill-up will last me a week and everyone around me
was probably hitting $80-100 with their behemoth mobiles.

I think there've only been a few cars where those things could've been considered handles. You know, like where the thing would actually support the weight of the car. Let me see if I have any pictures around here...

If you are driving a car where it would never occur to you to ask yourself "Is this fast enough to liquify the wheel bearing grease?" then you don't need spoilers.
