Took the plunge and now have a refurbed Mac mini.....

I bought one for a client and was crazy impressed by it. For writers it has to be one of the best computers ever. Super quiet and very fast.

Well it felt like it was time to replace the B&W with the Powerlogix chip. Got a refurbed Mac mini for $485. That's just $180 more than I paid for the Powerlogix chip. DVD burner, 1GB of RAM, and it works great with my current monitor and keyboard. Great job by Apple on this one.

Very, very happy. Thought about waiting for the Intel chipped Macs but the time to buy just seemed right now.

Thank you for listening.

I would love to have a mini because I think they are very cool, but unfortunately my iBook is taking care of all my computing needs at the moment.

mini Leader!

Came very close to getting a min a few weeks back. Chose a refurb iMac instead. Both are excellent choices.

A friend of mine did just what Todd's Keyboard did; was looking at the Mac mini but went with a refurb G5 iMac ($750!).

I tried one out yesterday at compusa for the first time, and they are amazingly faster than my 1st gen 12" pb. I was impressed. kj.
