New version 2 for MiniStack, I should have waited a month

I just bought this cool little device just before Christmas. I thought to myself how handy it would be to have USB & FW ports on that very corner (based on my setup at home)!

Now I wish I had waited a month for this one. Would be much more handy for swapping those devices that get hooked up temporarily from time to time. Maybe OWC will have a trade-in program!!! LOL... smiling smiley

Anyway, thought I would drop that here for you all to see.

The one you have is "just fine" . . . no big changes . . . side ports, and depending on that may just make it tackier . . . ?

Enjoy yours!!!

The 'V1' kit has been discounted a bit - so that ought to ease things a little.

The v2 will be shipping in mass within just a couple weeks at the most. The only main difference is that we moved two of the ports off to the left side - one FireWire and one USB2 port. Performance, etc remains the same.

Both are rock solid units. smiling smiley

To each his/her own.

If you were after ports that are more easily accessible why not put them on the front? Yes, wires are fugly. Wires that can be seen are not my most favorite thing to look at. Therefore, wires on the side can be seen easily as well.

But hey, IF you like the wires there, then good for you.
