I purchased a new Mac Pro 2.66 and I had to try a game, so I got Quake 4. I played Quake quite a bit years ago. The problem is I am having problems getting on servers, it says I don't have all of the items to play on the server but it doesn't tell me what items (I am using the built in multiplayer to find servers). I try to pick servers that have Q4 map names. I am updated to 1.3 so I was just wondering if anyone knows where to get all the items I need maps or mods, there is just so much junk out there I don't know where to begin.

Since it's a 1st person shooter again, why not just use that non-network mode? Quake and Quake 2 were fps. Quake 3 (which I despised) was basically just a tournament shootaround.

Because competition is fun, why play against a computer when I can play against real people.

Well there has to be some sort of way to get it to work properly.
