So who's watching the Sopranos series finale tonight?
Posted by: laarree

I am, for sure. What an excellent, excellent show!

I was late in starting to watch this last season, finally caught up last night,
watching the most recent two episodes, followed by a chaser of a few
minutes of mutant spiders on the ski slopes on SciFi.

It would be easier to count how many are NOT watching it.

I am not.
I will have to wait for the DVDs.
So if any o' you mugs should happen to post spoilers without warnings -- so help me Joe Pesci -- then I will not forgive.

Nope, I don't have HBO.

I'll be watching the Spurs humble the Cavs.

No HBO here, but anxiously awaiting the final DVD set.

Got into the Sopranos just recently, watching the 1st Season collection back in January. Have since seen every episode released on DVD up to Season Six Part 2. (Why was season 6 split that way?).

Got a good friend and his wife hooked on the DVD sets too. They were describing the syndicated version on one of the cable channels and from what I could tell, it was so watered down that it wasn't worth watching. I loaned them my discs and they were burning through each season in just a day or two!

I don't have HBO and I'm still catching up - I'm about six or seven episodes behind

I've already heard a few spoilers here and in the media (like Chris getting <censored>
but I am going to try to avoid the "final spoiler" but doubt that will be possible

That's OK - I'll enjoy it all the same - great show

I"M IN! For those of you who don't want spolers, don't click on any Sopranos threads after tonight's episode!

Who thinks Tony won't get whacked? I kinda hope not, but I don't see how they end it with him alive.

edited to omit spoiler.

Things look bad for Jersey now, but Tony's at his best with his back against the wall.

What role will the Feds play?

I don't think Tony will get whacked, but will live on in a greatly diminished role. Wonder if he ends up in witness protection under the name Kevin Finnerty, his new anonymous life being a living death just like when he was in the coma.

I do wonder if something will happen to one of Tony's kids, since developments in the previous episode may lead to families becoming fair game. I'll bet it has to do with AJ: Meadow getting killed would be a little too Godfather III. Would be interesting to see Tony faced with having to explicitly decide between his family and The Family.

That series really could go on forever, couldn't it.

Maybe I'll do some @#$%& this afternoon to get ready for tonight.

No HBO in my home but I've watched every available episode on DVD & have kept current at HBO.com. I've really enjoyed this series!

In season 3 I saw an ATM banner I made hanging in front of a store in a street scene. What a thrill.

a lot of it is filmed in this area, and several of the people who work on the show live in town here. I've been told a few things but since there were several different endings filmed I don't know what to believe.

The Taoist Zhuangzi said, "Good order results spontaneously when things are let alone".
The sociologist, and historian, Adam Ferguson described the phenomenon of spontaneous order in society as the "result of human action, but not the execution of any human design".

I've never seen the show in all these years. I do hear it's well-acted. Just never got into mafia movies.
