A. What's it called if I'm googling?
B. Are there any you recommend?
C. Are they REALLY as expensive as the products on this page my father-in-law sent me [www.rockler.com] ? BTW, I don't understand what all those diff items are supposed to do.

Tia.

If your receiver has an input on the back for a remote it can be a simple as a IR extension
(IR sensor on a wire - plugs in the back of receiver and a small receiver is mounted outside cabinet) ($15 - $29)

If there is no input then a remote IR repeater which can be cheap or expensive depending
on number of devices, type (IR or IR converting to RF) $50 up to a couple hundred

Leap Frog used to be one of the main ones [www.buy.com]

Others available too [www.crutchfield.com]
