OT: Car parts

Good online store? I hit a hawk and it took out the headlight on my '06 Chrysler Town & Country. Looked on a couple of sites but thought I'd check with this august body for some recommendations. Car Stuff has it for $134. Dealer, of course, wants $204!

Can't find the links, of course, but when I needed a replacement side mirror (ripped off by a bus that drifted into my lane...) I was able to find a salvage web site that allowed me to search for cars that they had sold to junk yards, complete with pictures. I was able to find the mirror on the same color car, in a junk yard not far from me, for $50 rather than the $175 the dealer wanted.

There are also plenty of used parts sites that search for you - google used auto parts ot salvage auto parts...

I've used junkyarddog.com which worked very well in finding used parts for my older cars. Good luck!

I've been VERY happy with [www.autopartswarehouse.com] for my recent parts needs. Fast free ground shipping and best prices. I even found a private mechanic on CraigsList who is 1/4 the price of anyone else and same-day service.

Since we're already off topic, allow to me stray even farther. This type of situation is one of the reasons why I don't want HID headlights. Instead of the prices you're seeing, an HID replacement would probably be $800-$1200 if you do the whole unit (auto-leveling servo and all). The bulb alone would still be at least $350.
