I installed vmware today because it was free and because my dad told me how great it is. Install went smoothly and I know have xp running on my 2nd monitor. I don't really have any pc software I need to use but it is interesting.

The Fusion feature is pretty cool I hear. The Windows Apps look like OS X apps.

I'm waiting for the non-beta release to see how it compares to the new Parallels (which I'm also waiting on getting). I only need the Windows side for a few things and have found that Bootcamp works better. But I have also been playing around with a pre-compiled Parallels Linux image (Xubuntu) which is pretty cool.

rz,

Are you using the image on a Macbook Pro? I'm looking for a pre-compiled image for a Mac Pro. A google search only finds ones for the Macbook Pro.

I'm using it on a Macbook, which is what it was supposedly compiled on. I saw the info on the Parallels forum. The guy who does all the Linux images posted a guide on how he compiled them. Maybe that will be of some help if you want to try to compile a version yourself.
