will T-Mo @ Home work with Macs?

I might spring for this if it makes sense (we have two phones on the family plan) but only if the wireless plays nice with Macs. Who else is going for it?

Hurts like a bastid...

I'm switching, but I'm not going to bother getting the router. I'm going to stick with my current wireless set up.

The selection of phones is pretty weak.

You technically don't need the router that comes with the Hotspot @ Home package. I used it with my Linksys WRT54G router and it worked fine. But yes, the tow phone options are pretty weak. I used the Nokia 6086. It had good voice quality and the Hotspot@Home service worked well, however the phone itself was pretty basic and the screen was tiny.

As I noted in a thread yesterday, Pogue is a big fan (raved in last weeks NYT Circuits), and he hates when stuff isn't Mac-compatible.

Pogue notes that the phones will work w/any open WiFi router, but if you want security, you should use the free-after-rebate router. Bonus is that the router security setup is as simple as could be.

One extremely cool feature that I remembered later is that calls home are free from ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD w/an open hotspot.
