Can't access

For the past several days, we have been unable to get to We have a mixed Mac/PC home network, some hardwired and some wireless via a Linksys router. Trying to navigate to the site generates a "server not responding" or similar error.

I have tried firewalls on/off, and direct connecting to the cable modem (no router), wiping cache/cookies, restarting, different browsers. No luck. I am able to get to the site from a work computer (it is a different ISP/location). We are connected at home through Charter.

Before I get to bugging Charter/Blizzard, I thought I would check here to see if anyone has suggestions/diagnoses for the problem.

% host has address mail is handled by 10

Successfully browsed both the name and the IP address.
Check your network settings to see what domain name server you are using.
(System Preferences->Network->Built-In Ethernet (or AirPort or ...)->TCP/IP and look at
DNS Servers

From the Terminal:

% cat /etc/resolv.conf

I have Earthlink/Covad DSL. The last two nameservers are Earthlink's ad-nasty nonconforming redirectors (you end up at an ad-heavy site with no hope of success).
The first is the non-redirecting nameserver for east of the Mississippi. The 4.2.2.x are
the GTE/genuity virtual name servers. This setup works for me. YMMV.

Also see [] for another source of DNS
