Hmm, does it come with full toner carts? That is cheaper than Newegg sells a full set of replacements for. I guess lasers have finally reached disposable status like inkjets did about 5 years ago.

Holy cow!

I paid $600 for a 6180DN less than six months ago. I'd requested color samples from Xerox. (There's a place on their web site to request print samples; highly recommended!) The 6110N was in the running, but didn't have duplex. For $180, though, that's a darn good buy on a printer with excellent color output. If I hadn't bought the 6180 already, it'd be worth it just to have color output that didn't smudge.

I think All the affordable color lasers are cheaper than their consumables now, but it's unlikely they run out of all 4 toner carts at the same time... so they Got 'ya!

I don't have any pretty pictures of peacocks to print, but if the output of my Phaser 6180 is any indication, that bird photo above is no exaggeration. The color of the 6120 was not far off.

If you want it even cheaper, grab a Staples coupon from eBay. There are usually $30 off $150 ones, for <$5. The seller will email you the codes soon after paymnt. But check out the code on Staples' site ASAP, as sometimes they've expired or are invalid, in which case the seller will send you another, or refund (they're used to it, they never seem to bother checking their cpn codes beforehand). Staples charges tax on web orders, so that's net ~165.

I paid (less than) double that for the 6180n (after 100 off sale, 50 r/b, et al), but that printer is more than double the size of the 6110 in both volume and weight. It's also more than twice as fast, but who's counting...

AFAIK, the 6110 has no posted comments regarding too-heavy text, as re the 6120, and Xerox touts quiet operation, so they must have toned down the racket made by the 6120, as well. Sounds like it's the best budget choice right now.

Come on now! Do you really need another printer? How long does it have to sit there for a real color job?

Considering the ink won't evaporate or clog when the printer's waiting for the next job, that's a heck of a deal.

Hmmmm, anyone seen a review for this one? At that price, definitely tempting...
