I swapped my harddrive on my 17" PB today and now I can't get it to boot. I have checked the cables and reinstalled the old drive to make sure it was not the the new drive that was defective. But there is no power at all. The adapter glows green as if the battery is at a full charge so I know the wall plug is good. Which is strange because its been unplugged for over six hours and usually glows orange after being unplugged that long. If anybody have any suggestions let me know. I'm going to sleep now before I mess this up more than I already have. TIA.

Don't tell Applecare you even opened the case. Perhaps a little pinch of static electricity is to blame.

Did you try PMU reset?

try putting the old drive back in. you may discover your mistake. perhaps its as simple as forgetting to reconnect the power button. (had to do that on some)

oooph, sorry!

remove the battery, power supply, and clock battery (does it have one?) and let it sit overnight. then try powering it up. some machines need this ultra low level reset.

Reseat the cable under the memory slot. You probably don't have it in all the way, or did some damage to it.
