Belkin wireless question
Posted by: pokari

I just got a Belkin desktop wireless card for my G4 OS 10.3.9 The Belkin is the F6D 3000. Well, the Belkin "tech support" told me this doesn't have a Mac driver. I was able to find a driver by Orangeware [www.orangeware.com] that works. However my problem is I cannot get it to work. I installed the driver and then the card and followed all of the directions and I was not able to connect to the WLAN. However with a little tweaking (manually configuring the settings in Network) I was able to get an IP address and an internet connection. However I cannot go anyware in any web browser, it says it cannot find the server. I CAN however wirelessly share iTunes between my G4 and Intel iMac. That is as far as the wireless will take me. Any ideas!!?

Thanks,

pokari

ralink might have drivers that work. someone used to have a page which verified the chipset of dozens of usb/pci/??? wireless cards and listed drivers. i can't find the page and i'm not sure if it exists. maybe someone else knows.
