Well played, Bernie!

I am that Masked Man.

All you can do, is all you can do.

There’s trouble — it's time to play the sound of my people.

Your boos mean nothing to me, I've seen what you cheer for.

Insisting on your rights without acknowledging your responsibilities isn’t freedom, it’s adolescence.

I've been to the edge of the map, and there be monsters.

We are a government of laws, not men.

Everybody counts or nobody counts.

When a good man is hurt,
all who would be called good
must suffer with him.

You and I have memories longer than the road that stretches out ahead.

There is no safety for honest men except
by believing all possible evil of evil men.

We don’t do focus groups. They just ensure that you don’t offend anyone, and produce bland inoffensive products. —Sir Jonathan Ive

An armed society is a polite society.
And hope is a lousy defense.

You make me pull, I'll put you down.

I *love* SIGs. It's Glocks I hate.

And now for something COMPLETELY different....

Ecranoplan, by those wacky Soviets;

And the Hughes "Spruce Goose" is HUGE.. and a beautiful aircraft (though it never flew any higher than the awkward Ecranoplan, above....)...

You want a BIG cargo plane?

I give you, courtesy of the Soviet Space Agency...
Mirya. The only Antonov AN-225 every built.

Not pretty.
But moves cargo that nothing else can fly.

Oops Paul! Can't link to airliners.net photos.

I've often wondered how viable the Hughes HK-1 (Hughes destested the Spruce Goose nickname) was as a flying airplane. Knowing how meticulous Hughes was, and how talented his engineering team was, I'd be surprised if its performance was below expectations. But we will never know.

Well... Not hte same pic...
But... I present:

Mirya, the AN-225. 9 meters longer than the A-380, and can carry a much heavier load.

Here is size comparison. The AN-225 does not seem THAT much larger, to me.

Hey Paul,

I think that's the plane our company uses to transport new reactor vessel heads for nuclear power plants.

I think they're expansion shock waves emanating from the exhaust nozzle as the exhaust flow accelerates to supersonic. These shock waves reflect off the flow boundry (i.e., the edges of the exhaust stream) endlessly criss-crossing, forming what are called these 'shock diamonds'. A good picture would explain it a whole lot better then I just did though.
