Well, I've been in India for two weeks, and returned only 1 week ago. I've been craving some new music and this is what I found this week:

A friend of mine found this album (an actual record) brand new, still sealed in a local shop. Something about it appealed to him so he splurged and bought it. He called me over to come listen after he was about 40seconds into the 2nd song. My jaw dropped. These guys sound almost exactly like the Black Keys, but they were 30 years earlier. Their earliest work dates to around 1965. They ROCK! Other songs sound like classic surf-guitar stuff. Good recordings are difficult to come by because they never made it big anywhere beyond Tacoma WA, but they definitely should have. I've downloaded 1 album off of eMusic, 1 off of iTunes, and I've order 2 from Amazon. I'm hooked.
Anyone have anything else new (or new to you) to share?
