I can'f figure out why videos that I have made to work on my ipod using Moviepod, seem to stutter at 8 seconds when played in iTunes, but not in the ipod.

Anyone seen this?

Thanks

What kinda Mac?
You know that the video is highly compressed, and the VidPod has a dedicated decompression chip?

could be HD performance issue or processor/video card related limitation. The HD is more far fetched - but if it was really really fragmented.... just guessing.

Do other compressed videos play ok?

It sounds like your Mac is too feeble to play the highly compressed MP4 files. My iBook G3 700 can't play videos I've compressed using the Export to iPod feature. As BGnR wrote, the iPod has specific hardware built-in to do the decoding. Your Mac is trying to do it in software and might not be able to keep up with playing it realtime.
