MR Poll: How Many Siblings Do You Have?

After attending our annual family pick-nick Sunday (for my Moms side of the family ) and getting to see a bunch of my sib's that made it from out of state, I got to wondering about my friends here and so I think a poll is in order.

How many brothers and sisters do you have?

I'll go first.

I have 9 brothers & 6 sisters, and no thats not a typo!

I have 2 older sisters and I am the oldest boy.

My oldest sister is 50 and the youngest (also a girl) is 27and there are no twins.

Somewhat surprisingly, given the reckless nature of a few of my brothers, everyone is still alive...

thats not a family, thats a colony ;)

theres no "20/20" or some other news show about your family?

your poor mother, and it must have sucked for the older babysitters, err, i mean bothers/sisters

too late for this lesson i guess

oh, and have 2 younger bothers, 1 dead, 1 alive + 4 step sisters and 4 step brothers

one, a younger sister. My wife has 0, she was the only child.

Wow, 16 children, is that the same parents, I mean no step brothers or sisters?

Wow! Now "thats" a blessing. Sounds like everyone is doing well.

I have one brother and one sister. I'm the middle child. (albeit at 48)

I'm second of 6. The 5th was the only girl--she raises and shows dobermans. Probably got that ability from dealing with her brothers!

I am the oldest, have 3 brothers, 3 sisters. one stepbrother and a half sister for total of 9. One sister died from a pulmonary embolism from leg vein clots.

1 sort of step sister and 1 sort of step brother (my dad and their mom have been together for 20 years but aren't married)

Since you mentioned it, now you have to tell us. Otherwise why did you mention it??? Especially since it seems to be "longer story" than the last line story. smiling smiley Come on!

I'm the youngest of seven. Two sisters, four brothers.

They all beat me whenever they got the chance. :-(

I am the oldest of 5, 3 sisters and a brother.

One of two "only children"

My sister is 13 years older, and was off to college before I have any memory of her at home - we were never close until late adulthood.

As to age - I'm 59 - she's 72.

I've only ever 'met'/seen my oldest sister 3 times in my life since she lived in California when I was a kid nowhere near California.

My mother was one of 11 children. Guess what, I am am only child. She said she had helped bring up enough kids by the time that she got married that she only wanted one. smiling smiley

I have one sister and zero brothers. My wife is 1 of 6. I like only having one sibling and watching my wife fight w/ her siblings makes me glad.

We are most likely only going to have two kids ourselves but I sometimes wonder if it would be fun to have 3-6 children. They would ALWAYS have someone to play with or hang out with or help w/ family matters.

However, we are tired enough with one and I'm sure we are going to be even more tired in December when the second one arrives.

One of my school friends moved in with us and stayed for 7 years, so he almost counts as a brother.
