. . .(based on the Jim Butcher books). . .

. . .compared to some of the other "cr*p" that SciFi channel comes up with it. . .I actually kinda liked it. . .took some time to get into a groove but I thought it was headed in the right direction. . .

(although the fact that they aired the re-cut original pilot later in the season was disorienting. . .you could tell that it was a "pilot" and there were many elements missing from what had already been introduced. . .). . .I don't think they are even re-airing the 1st season (which is weird for SciFi, they usually air the heck out of something). . .

I mean i tried to watch "Painkiller Jane" but it wasn't that good (IMHO). . .(also didn't know that Painkiller was based on a comic book). . .

anyways, SciFi still hasn't renewed it but I found this at a tvguide link. . .for those that wanna be in the know. . .

Ausiello on Dresden Files

Question: Sci Fi seems to be dragging its feet regarding the renewal of The Dresden Files. Do you have any info on this?— Kathy

Ausiello: My sources say the show is toast, but a Sci Fi rep insists that no decision has been made. Do with that what you will.

SciFi must have hired some ex-FOX execs.

It is unbelievably annoying how many networks lately are airing new, very promising, entertaining series - only to nix them after a short run. Yet some of the dumbest bomb shows are drug out for multiple seasons with crappy viewership - maybe a contract thing? Whatever it is - getting sick of starting with a show and then it being gone.

I guess add Dresden files to a list that includes

Will Traveler
Drive
Threshold
FireFly
Invasion
Surface
and plenty of others.

Got hardly time for TV any way... but nice to have the DVR loaded up when there is a rainy day. I mean heck too... I'd pay per episode a nominal fee to see this stuff too.... be nice if that worked to bring stuff back.

Oh well.

I was really getting into Invasion when they cancelled it. The show moved kind of slow, so I was disappointed by the time it wrapped up that more didn't happen. Oh well...
