9to5mac.com says this is the next gen nano. I have serious doubt. That is just a goofy form factor. Too wide for a lot of jean pockets and would seem awkward to run with something that wide on your arm. I think its a fake. Anyone else? (If Apple legal asks for a take down today maybe I'll change my mind about it being for real).

I'm guessing they're real. The rumors of the form factor and colors point in the direction of what's shown in the picture. If the clickwheel is the same size on the new nano as on the old one, then the new one should be significantly shorter than the old one, which might compensate for the extra width a little bit.

You could make a pretty nice iPod Shuffle with screen by taking the current iPod nano's clickwheel and screen, putting them as close together as they are on this new one, and shaving off all the other edges.

Maybe wide screen that will display video?

I just don't see the nano getting significantly *bigger*!

I'd market it as an ipod 'micro' - looks about 2/3 the size of an iPhone.

They look ugly to me without the screen on, tho - something not true of the iPhone.
