Looking for something portable so my daughter can easily carry in backpack to friends house to listen to her ipod mini music.

I was thinking boomtune mini, bt found a review that said they weren't so great?

Anyone have the Groove cube that small dog sells? How do they sound?

Any other recommendations?

Price under $60.00

Ha..you posted here too. Same answer, the battery powered Sony Speakers are nice. Or a cheap set of small computer speakers? What teen seriously has a cassette player anymore outside of the car maybe.

Amazon has the Virgin VS0200 Boomtube Portable Speakers $39.99 or
the Virgin VS2100 Boomtube EX Portable 40 Watt Speaker System $49.99

VS0200

is lighter and But AC adapter not included and you can only use regular AA (the batteries are not rechargeable)

VS2100 Boomtube EX

bit heavier but includes LI-on batteries so it recharges and includes ac adapter and supposedly a better bass sound

I've got both and great so far. . .read the reviews.

oh if your not in a rush the VS0200 sometimes comes up on www.woot.com for much less. ..but you it might and it might not come back though I've seen it 3 times already. . .

good luck

I'm thinking of the iFusion for my daugher, I like the way it zips up into it's own carry pouch, and the one I tried out at the Apple Store sounded good too.
Now to find a decent deal on one.
