Apple actually made a tablet mac way back when, and here it is on ebay:

Looks pretty amazing to me. Especially the Firewire port. (Someone mind explaining that?)

Huh. And here I, who thought I knew all kinds of Mac trivia - I work with someone who was involved with the Pippin for pete's sake - never heard of this one.

Couple of errors in that listing.
1. There was/is more than one, I have personally seen two in one meeting with Apple.
2. They do have Floppy drives, it is the standard plug in Duo floppy drive.
3. Standard issue Power Supply wasn't the "Flying Saucer", that didn't appear till the iBook.
4. Wasn't the first.
Pretty sweet though, brought back some memories!

What FireWire port?
That's a SCSI port.

Once again, Apple was YEARS ahead of its time and WAY ahead of where the market was. This thing would have BOMBED if they'd released it, but man it sure was nice to finally see one (I'd heard of the project but never seen so much as a drawing of the actual item till now!).

Thanks for bringing that to our attention!

make you wonder what other cool things Apple has been working on.

1992? Way ahead of its time.

him carry me, and yet assure myself and others
that I am very sorry for him and wish to ease his
