So Woo Hoos are in order. I don't think the Sept 5 date is a cruel hoax. Apple needs to get these iPods out so they can focus on there #1 money maker the Mac w/ OS X 10.5. (We can expect to hear rumors of RC1 soon after labor day...yes?)

Would be interesting to see what happens, given the edu iPod promo still has a few days left after the Sept 5th date...

And get us preparing for Christmas gifts.

The fact that the promo has a few days left after Sept. 5th makes it doubly likely this is not a hoax. They've done that before -- IIRC they extended the promo once, and on the other occasion they announced, but didn't ship, until after the promo. Sneaky.
