OT: Anyone into Heywood Wakefield Furniture?

Sorry for the way off topic... I found a refinished set of step end tables and a round coffee table from a dealer at a really fair price... They where refinished in champaign finish... Of the "light" finishes that Heywood Wakefield offers... Is that lighter than "wheat" finish?

Thanks!
Bill

Yes, it is the lighter color. I used to be a heavy collector of 40s/50s Heywood years ago. You need to be careful about how the pieces were refinished. I had only ever bought a few refinished pieces, and I could always tell the difference between refinished and original finish. When I was selling out, the original finish pieces always brought more money, even if they had a few scratches. As an aside, our Opera House in town has it's original 1914 balcony seats, made by Heywood Wakefield. It was great to see that name again.
