Last week I order a new chair mat for my office from Costco.com, their product description said it ships free via UPS ground with 2-3 business day delivery. Seemed reasonable
Got the shipping confirmation email the next morning and for Estimated Arrival Date it just gave the URL of their order tracking page. The order status said that it shipped, but no tracking was available.
A week goes by, no chair mat, no tracking number, so I call Costco, wait on hold 30 minutes and find out that it didn't ship via UPS, but rather via some company called Ensenda. Costco gives me the Ensenda tracking number and phone number.
I call Ensenda [
www.ensenda.com] and they claim that it was delivered last thursday morning at 9:11am, which would have been about 1 hour after I got the shipping confirmation email, however I was home, and I would have noticed if a 4'x5' package arrived, especially since Ensenda told me that it needed to be signed for.
So, they're going to get me a copy of the signature tomorrow
I did a little searching on Ensenda and it seems to have been founded by an ex-WebVan founder, and they don't actually have any trucks, but really just broker shipping deals. Here's an article that I found.

So, has anyone ever shipped or received a package using Ensenda? Are they reliable, or a company to avoid. I'm getting the feeling that I'm going to need to get Costco to re-send the lost shipment, and they'll probably ship it the same way.
