Well NBC decided they wanted more $ for their program downloads (sound familiar) and would end their contract with Apple at years end. Jobs said nope, why wait if it's going to end do it now end it now.

So NBC goes from wanting Apple to charge $4.99 per rather than $1.99 per to $0.00 per. Sounds to me like the same standoff they had with the music executives. Also sounds as short sighted.
