Damn, as soon as my post appeared so did the FedEx truck! Who's been complaining about FedEx, uh?!!

How exuberant I was to see the FedEx delivery man at the door? So excitedly I blurted to him, "You're the man I have been waiting for!" Caught off guard the gentleman simply responded, "Enjoy your computer!". Ok, I don't think I will be using FedEx for a long while.

Back to the more urgent matter at hand: I am visually checking out the machine. No cosmetic blemishes so far. Any tips/tricks from the MBP 'experts' is welcome. I am looking at the Welcome screen right now ...

". Ok, I don't think I will be using FedEx for a long while.
.

How many times (just this week) do you think he's heard "MY computer's here!!!" with xxx amount of boxes identical to yours.

I might be more concerned if he feigned cluelessness regarding the contents. :-)

You're filming this, right ?

"You're the man I have been waiting for!" thumbs up smiley

Love it. Obviously they're used to that kind of reaction for those Apple boxes. I wonder if they get the same reaction from Dell boxes.

As a child in the 50's and 60's, we always loved seeing the Mailman do his special box delivery runs on Christmas Eve day. He'd get cookies, hugs, smiles, etc. I'm sure he felt a bit like Santa Claus.

damn, jdc, you just had to rub it in our faces ;)

cbelt3, I am still waiting for DHL to come by to pick up my Dell 'lemon' of a laptop for a repair. This is the 5th time since I have become the owner of the Dell two years ago. There are only two DHL men handle our route. They say third time is the charm. Well, the charm has waned after the fourth return to/from the repair shop.

billb, he KNEW what was the box without my mentioning, "My computer's here!"

Ken Sp, thanks for the links. I shall check them out for sure. As always, i take great care of my Apple hardware, esp. laptops since I can only afford to upgrade every 5-6 years or so.
