I reset the modem a few times. Left it unplugged for 20 minutes. Finally called. (Now comcast plays ads between prompts.)

Tech says to reboot the modem. So I tell him what I've done, but add I'll reboot it again. Still doesn't come up, on his end either. He stsrts to schedule a tech when he gets notified of an outage in my area.

Apparently they're working on it now. joy.

Anyone elese in the Seattle area have their comcast down right now?

The first test that I do before even touching the modem is to turn on the TV to see if Cable TV is working. It's much easier to convince them that the problem is not with your equipment if you can tell them that both TV and Internet are down.

Comcast has been deathly slow for me for the last few days.

I don't know about that. Cable tv has been off here for years... since I don't subscribe to it ;)

I just keep a list of all the times that it's out, what the weather conditions were and the name of the rep that I talk to on the phone. When it comes time to renegotiate my monthly bill it comes in handy.

I called back to ask about status, and I got disconnected. While I was calling in a third time, it came back up.

My friend around the corner from you, her Comcast was/is down too. She uses Vonage for her phone, so she is limited to just her cell phone right now.

I should call and see if hers is back up too. Probably is, seeing as we can see in your windows from her house....
