Song From For The Love Of The Game

I just caught For The Love Of The Game on USA and really enjoyed some of the songs
used in it. Unfortunately the one I liked most was not on the soundtrack and of course when the credits came up at the end of the movie they squashed the screen to run promos for other USA programming so there's no way I could find it in the credits. It was a countryish song playing while Kevin Costner was having a flashback while sitting in the dug out. There seems to have been more than one good song that didn't make it to the soundtrack. Any ideas how I can find the song I'm looking for??

TIA,
Prof

Go here and sample the clips...you'll find it: [shopping.yahoo.com]

It really is a great movie - I have it - and I have seen it many times that I am drawing a blank on the song myself - so if you can't find it listed in the tracks above, let me know and I'll bust out my copy and find it.

Thanks but I already tried this. As I said, the song I'm interested in didn't make the soundtrack.

Thanks,
Prof

...I read it that you couldn't find the song in the credits likely due to the 'squash' for promos. Oh well.

I'll see what I can find.

Come Around by Kim Richey. iTunes has it. That's what I remember. Have to watch it again to see.

Very good movie. I am a sucker for a love story.

I have always had a crush on Kelly Preston. Ever since I saw "Mischief".

That would be great. if you could give me a list of the songs used in the movie
that didn't make the soundtrack I would greatly appreciate it!!

That's one of the problems with movie credits and soundtracks- the movie will list *every* song that was played/used.

Most of the time you may not even remember hearing the song in the movie. It may have been playing on a TV or radio in the background just as the fire fight broke out.

And most of the time this won't make it into the soundtrack. Worse yet, often the "soundtrack" will consist only of a few songs used and none of the score.

Or worse yet- the music used in the movie has been replaced by another version on the soundtrack, ala Mr. Holland's Opus. I avoid "soundtracks" that are badged "Music Inspired by the Movie - ".

Good luck on finding your song. A list of music from the end credits may be your only chance.
