How Low Can 10.5 Go? $89.99 @ MicroCenter after rebate

I know..."rebate." But if you are willing to spin the wheel (and I'd rather go w/ a MicroCenter rebate than a Mac Mall rebate any day) it's a great deal. Available in B&M stores at 6pm. I don't see it online yet.

I'm going to guess $129.99 since the rebate on their site is $40.
But it also states that it won't be available online.

The email I got didn't say anything about online orders not be included. Where did you see that?

Weighing it out, it just doesn't seem worth it.
Assume they do put it online…
$129.99-$40(rebate)= $89.99
$89.99+$10.89(NYS tax on $129.99)=100.88
$100.88+$5.99 shipping= $106.87

So, 108.87 and you still have to wait for the rebate.
Amazon is $109, no rebate, free shipping.

Yeah, shipping and tax can often kill a online deal. But if you buy local here in DC Metro it's $96.50 inc. tax AR. If you are going to buy at the Apple Store anyway might as well buy at MC and try for the rebate.

yup, good deal for some. I wouldn't chance a $10 savings on a $40 rebate though, but that's just me.

if you can avoid the fires in Orange County, LA Computer has it for $99 + tax for walk ina at 6PM, or do you go a few miles south to MC, pay $129 and hassle w/ the rebate. ChumpUSA is now also in the $99 after rebate game... even so, I'm going to make a bold prediction: Leopard will be Apple's hottest OS release of all time.


Sometimes it is what it is...
and then there's times when it's really better.
