The sequel to 28 Days Later which is a good apocalyptic/thriller/zombie flick. 28 Weeks has a good build up of tension before all hell breaks loose. If you liked the first one, give this a try.

I have been meaning to check it out. I really enjoyed the first one (28 days later) having watched it many times.

Might we expect to see more in this series? 28 months / years later?

What should I give a try if I did not like the first one? ;)

I'm guessing the story line won't even be close to the book. It'll probably be even farther from the original story than The Omega Man, since it appears that Will Smith's character isn't even a scientist.

It is supposed to be a trilogy, Boyle was supposed to do the second one but conflicting schedule (Sunshine) ruled him out but obviously had creative input as the movies have a very similar feel to them, and yes it is to be titled 28 months later. It was originally supposed to pick up in France but that has been changed to Russia.

Unfortunately I found the characters in Weeks to be painfully stupid, so it wasn't nearly as terrifying. But I'll probably be onboard for Months, especially if the original director is back.
