This was downhill from the Bug, but I don't think its part of it, unless the VW had boxed frame rails...

That spindle is clearly a Bosch 14-NDC-1a from 1973

Well these parts aren't so much "on" the trail as I was riding all over the place, but with the leaves mostly gone you can see a lot more than before.

I think there used to be a road that went through this part but it's all foot trails now. Pretty clean overall actually.

Looks to me like tulip-maple tree hybrid. Oh, that rusty thing under the leaves, sorry can't make it out.

Nope--it's a 1969 Borg Warner TR-7886. The pawl for the self-adjuster had that unique shape.

It's either a Binsford 3367-511A or a Cray XMP-11. I would have to do a carbon xray to be sure.
