We'll definitely be looking forward to host a sort of get together dinner one of the nights... still organizing the show plan. So difficult having a show each year the follows just days after the busiest time of the year and end of year, etc.

Get a free Expo Pass here:
[eshop.macsales.com]

You can print and present at the show... or I think there is still time to pre-register where they send the badge out too for free.

If it looks like fair weather, I might ride the motorcycle up from L.A. If not, I'll try and thumb a ride with one of you L.A. MFers or fly up.

I am planning on going, still waiting to find a cheaper flight but I will pull the trigger this week.

So instead of a DealMac dinner are we having a OWC forum dinner?

Ahhh the memories....

Drinks on pRon at the first DealMac dinner. Whole town showed up for that one.

A small bike that isn't ideal for a San Francisco run. =)

Suzi GZ250. Yes, a 250! Once I actually get to SF, it'll be great for the City traffic. The longest trip I've taken with it was to Santa Barbara, and she handled it well, except for the slight incline as you approach Camarillo. For that part, I was over in the slow lane with all the trucks. =(

If I do go por motocicleta, I'll probably avoid the grapevine, and take the 101. Or I might make it an overnighter, and take the PCH all the way, and take my time.

Hey, have there been any LAX lunches while I've been out of touch?

BTW, ArtP, the first dinner was 2003 (@House of Nanking) and I have the receipt to prove it! =)

That was the best and something we hope to do again - on our tab this time! Good to see ya here too! Been long time no see at the other place.

Marcos Malo;

Have you changed handles from then and there, to here and now? Or is my memory of various posters really getting that bad?

Whether or not I make MWSF will depend a lot on my work schedule...
Sure would be nice to go! One of the only trade shows close enough for me to reasonably make by convenient drive (only 6 hours or so, taking it leisurely)... and yet, I've never managed to make it there.

Hmmmm, maybe I could take the wife on a vacation to Cali for our Anniversary, she won't mind me slipping into the expo for awhile, really....

Anyone know of some good cheap places to stay?

I'll go to the show for a day or two, as usual. Might even turn out for a user meet, if there is one...

Yeah, long time. I was given a one month time out by Brian Moon, and it was probably deserved, but I just didn't feel like going back afterwards. A few weeks ago, I stopped by and liked the new format change, but didn't like the vibe as much. I'm not saying it was a bad vibe or anything; it was that too many regulars were MIA. (In many ways it was exactly the same as it was when I left it, with the same old political arguments, coming from the usual gang of idi . . . I mean cast of players. Not to mention the graciously offered advice from Otto.) Anyhoo, I wish BM all the best, and I'm thankful that DM was there.

Two years ago was great. N-OSX-tacy and I hitched a ride with Sainty Johann, and we got a cheap hotel room near Union Square. I've lived in SF, and it's always great returning. If they held MW in San Jose I probably wouldn't even go.

We made a side trip to Macca (One Infinite Loop) and circumambulated the Kabaa once or twice. Pretty boring place, actually, but making the haj is a requirement for all able-bodied Mac Zealots.

Anyway, if anyone is sitting on the fence, GO!

Great -- shared a room with the guy and he still can't get my nick right. ;-P

BTW, sainty stayed with family during that trip. Get those filthy thoughts of hot man-on-man-on-man action out of your collective minds RIGHT NOW.

Marcos, you are aware that sainty is currently employed at the Mothership, non? He made me promise to look him up the next time I got up that way...

I'll be there.

I may stay in town or commute (it's a short one).

I always enjoy my stay no matter how "bad" the reviews are from others.

And *no* 25O AnyThing is really up to a LA-SF run. Really, Mar|{os. Not unless you have to do penance for something we don't know about.

I wish I could make the trip but memories of 2003 will have to tide me over-
